Got home about 20 hours ago after a brutal 36 hours of travel. Went straight to the doctor and tested positive for COVID and influenza A, me with a fever of 102°. Once home, I went straight to bed. Feeling a little better this morning, but still everything aches and my fever is down to about 101°.

The last straw in this mess was that we were unable to land in Cedar Rapids as planned because of a thunderstorm and had to divert to Des Moines, where they performed maintenance on the plane and then refueled and got us back to Cedar Rapids about an hour and a half later than planned.
